What is a datasphere?

A datasphere is an interactive catalog of systems, equipment, contacts and documents pertaining to a property, building, or a group of buildings or properties.

Who can benefit from using a datasphere?

A datasphere would be useful to Architects, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Facility Managers, Property Owners or just about anyone who needs to know something about a building or facility.

What is a datasphere level?

A datasphere is available in Level 1, 2 or 3. The levels represent the different services and deliverable provided by BuildingWorks, Inc. when cataloging a building or property.

In a Level 1 datasphere only the building or property shell is created and all equipment, contacts and documents are associated directly with that shell.

In a Level 2 datasphere each location/room that contains a piece of equipment from the Systems of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Life Safety, Conveyance, or Thermal/Moisture (Roof) is created and equipment, documents and contacts are associated with the appropriate item.

In a Level 3 datasphere all of the properties rooms and sections are created and, where appropriate, the finish information is created on a room by room basis. All equipment, contacts and documents are associated with the appropriate item as in a Level 2.
