How is a datasphere Organized?

A datasphere is organized into four base categories: Property Directory (or Directory), Equipment, Contacts and Documents. Each category is organized into a list or lists which provide access to detailed information about a specific item. The general format of the datasphere organization is listed below.

Directory

A The directory contains information regarding the specific levels of property within the datasphere . The directory is presented in a list form and includes the following information: Property Description, Alias, and Property Level. Each level is represented by a different color as well as a different description. Clicking on the Property Description leads to the Property Details.

Equipment

Equipment is organized together in an equipment list. The equipment list is available in three different views. The default view organizes equipment by Construction Specification Institute Division Number. The other available views organize equipment by System and Manufacturer. Clicking on the Description leads to the Equipment Details.

Documents

Documents are organized into a document list. The document list is organized by two different views. The default view organizes documents by Construction Specification Institute Division Number. The second view organizes documents by category. The default document categories in a datasphere are: Contractor Warranty Letter; Correspondence; Drawings; Equipment Manuals; Photos and Videos; Reports and Submittals. In addition to organizing documents by division number and category, the document list can also be filtered (narrowed) by category. Each category filtered list is organized by division number with the exception of drawings. The drawing filtered list is organized by Subcategory (Original, Record, etc.) and Discipline (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).

Contacts

Contacts are organized into a contact list. The contact list is available in four different views. The default view organizes contacts by company name. The other available views organize contacts by Last Name, Type and Scope. .

Property Details View

Detailed information regarding a specific property item is organized into a Property Details view. The Property Detail view contains general property information. It may also contain information regarding the address, square footage and special notes if applicable. If a Level 3 datasphere was specified, the property detail view would display room finish information if applicable. The property detail view contains links to display equipment that are associated with the specific property.

Equipment Details View

Detailed information regarding a specific equipment item is organized into an Equipment Details view. The Equipment Detail view contains general equipment information such as description, equipment system, equipment type, association (i.e. property or equipment location) model number and manufacturer. It may also contain information regarding the serial number, equipment specifications and special notes. Documents that are related to the equipment or equipment model are also accessible through the equipment details view.

Contact Details View

Detailed information regarding a specific contact item is organized into a Contact Detail view. The Contact Detail view contains general contact information such as title, company name, type, scope, phone or e-mail address. It may also contain associated properties and special notes regarding the contact.
